Journey with FORM:
I joined FORM my freshman year of college hoping to meet new people and get involved! I always had a love for fashion and business so mixing both together made FORM the perfect club. Ever since I went to the first meeting I felt so welcome and everyone was so nice that at the end of freshman year I applied for director of advertising! When I got the position I was so excited to help new club members have a great experience and also help grow FORM as a club.
Where I see FORM going in 5 years:
I definitely see this club getting bigger on campus and having even more events throughout the years! As current co-director of marketing i’m excited to see how the social media improves and what the future directors of marketing will do with our socials :)

Journey with FORM:
As a first year at Rutgers, I knew I wanted to find a place on campus where I could explore my interest in the intersection of business and fashion--luckily for me, I found it at FORM! I became an active member in the organization and was given the opportunity to serve as the Director of Event Planning my sophomore year and President of the organization for both my junior and senior years at Rutgers!
Where I see FORM going in 5 years:
FORM is one of the most unique organizations on campus. Throughout my time at Rutgers, I have seen our engagement and retention amongst both the Rutgers community as well as industry professionals grow exponentially each year. I hope that as FORM continues to flourish, it will solidify its status as an accessible and informative space on campus where students can learn first-hand what a career in fashion may look like!

Journey With FORM
As a freshman, I attended a number of FORM’s biweekly meetings. After becoming acquainted with members of the board, my elation towards the organization simply grew. As someone whose knowledge of the fashion industry was faint, I learned a great deal by allowing myself to be present at FORM’s informational events (Fashion Career Fair, Intern Panel, etc). Through such positive experience as a member, I hoped to attain a role of direct significance. Later that same year, I was appointed Co Director of Event Planning - a position which led to the enhancement of my collaboration & communication skills, all whilst in the pursuit to keep members engaged. Since then, I have taken on the role of Secretary - a post which oversees official correspondence of the organization via email, alongside the regulation of relevant paper work.
Where do you see FORM in 5 Years?
Given FORM’s continuous effort to advertise the organization via digital media and public relations, I expect membership to steadily increase - admitting students from diverse academic backgrounds & of course, those who express an unabating interest for the business of fashion.

Journey with FORM:
I first joined FORM as an ambitious freshman who didn’t know what she wanted to major in. I was one of those freshmen that wanted to try everything just to see if it what was my cup of tea. I remember completing the application to FORM’s Marketing Committee in the Starbucks on Livi, and being incredibly excited when I got accepted. FORM has given me amazing exposure to the variety of occupations and opportunities within the fashion industry. This organization has helped me realize that people WANT to help you and they want to be a resource to you. The first step to this is extending your hand first and reaching out. Post freshman year, I became much more involved with FORM and got accepted as the Director of Event Planning. Getting to know the team has been a joy of mine and I’ve made some amazing friends here! One of my favorite planned events has been the Depop Upcycling Denim Event. This year I am serving FORM as the Director of Event Planning and Digital Media. Due to the remote learning, I wanted to take initiative and rebuild the website from scratch so that our site can be educational resource for FORM members! Currently I am working with the Directors of Marketing and leading a wonderful website committee to build FORM’s branding and newly launched site. I can feel FORM shifting towards amazing directions and I’m so excited for what’s to come.
⁃Where I see FORM in 5 years: Wow I see big things coming for FORM’s future. Five years from now, I can see FORM being a household name for connecting, exposing, and preparing students to the professional world within the fashion industry. FORM has amazing and diverse connections ranging from those involved in high fashion to passionate individuals with startups. I can see FORM preparing students who want to dip their toes in this realm welcoming people of all majors. In 5 years, I also see FORM as a community platform where students can connect, relate, and collaborate with each other! For example, if one student who’s passionate about copy writing writes a blog post, we could have a system in place where they can connect and collaborate with a creative at Rutgers to create a blog banner for the text. In this way, the work produced is purely collaborative and can also be placed on one’s portfolio. This website is the beginning of amazing opportunities so I’m excited to see where it takes us!
